3D Donnington Castle VR App app for iPhone and iPad

The Donnington Castle Virtual Reality (VR) App provides an immersive educational experience, similar to a Google Cardboard Expedition. You can visit the Castle and explore it in all it’s former glory. The castle and gatehouse have been re-imagined the way they were in the 12th Century AD. You can cross the moat to visit the castle and it’s surroundings. Inside the castle open the first door on the left to enter the gatehouse which has a number of interactive features. You can unlock the trunk by the fireplace to participate in a quiz and have the opportunity to add your name to the leaderboard.

The navigation through the App is simple. You can look at items for a few seconds to select them. Looking down at your virtual footsteps activates your forward movement. Looking down again stops the movement. Alternatively you can use an iCade compatible bluetooth joystick/game controller (for example Snakebytes idroid:con or Nykos PlayPad Pro) to control the forward movement. To turn, you simply need to turn your physical body to look in a different direction.
